My Review

I really loved this story.  I love shape-shifters and paranormal books.  This one had a bunch of different paranormal creatures in it.  The story was great and had a great cause behind it.  I will warn that some may be offend or not like the content.  It deals with children being abused sexually.  The main female character, Haven was sexual abused as a child and is out to save other children like her.  Preferably before they are hurt but if she gets there after it has happened she makes sure that it stops and that the person can’t hurt anyone else again.  She is known throughout the shape-shifter community for taking care of those kinds of people.  She is trying to help a little girl named Cassidy when everything changes for her.  The little girl’s uncle Bryce comes to town and he is one of the rarest shape-shifters out there.  Haven finds herself reacting to him like she has never reacted to anyone before.  Bryce begins to tear down all of Haven’s carefully constructed walls.  She never wanted to have to deal with these kinds and feelings.  It’s bringing back memories of the past that she is having a hard time dealing with.  This story is fantastic.  The story was hard and emotional at times but what the characters were doing to put a stop to it and make people pay for their crimes is wonderful.  Reading about how Bryce’s world changes when he meets Haven.  He knows immediately what she is too him even if she doesn’t.  He was told a story by his mother about what would happen when he meet his mate.  It takes Haven a little longer to acknowledge what is happening between her and Bryce.  I really hope there is a book to follow this one up.  I want more of Bryce and Haven’s story.  Their story can’t be over.  Cassidy’s character is wonderful she just seems to know things.  There are some interesting connections made between the characters which were cool.  I could talk more about the book but I don’t want to give any spoilers away.  I will definitely will be looking for other books by Frantiska.  She is one of my new authors to follow.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.
