I should have known I
couldn’t change him.
Maybe I was even
wrong for trying, but I really thought Sebastian Scott had something redeemable
about him (other than his body anyway), something I could bring out if I cared
about him enough.
I was wrong.
But even though I’m
not his intern anymore, I can’t deny our physical attraction, ruining my
chances of a relationship with anyone else. If that weren’t bad enough,
Sebastian’s behavior has become more erratic than ever. I want to blame it on
the stress of the lawsuit but I have a feeling it is something else entirely.
Something dangerous.
Violet is trying to move on from Sebastian. She has started seeing a police officer, Matt. She is longer Sebastian’s intern as he is on
leave from the firm while the case is ongoing.
Sebastian is frustrated that now that he has admitted to himself about
his feelings for Violet she doesn’t want anything to do with him. Violet can’t seem to help the way she feels
about Sebastian. She has been going on
dates with Matt but she doesn’t really want to have a relationship with
him. Someone has been calling Violet but
not saying anything, plus her car was vandalized. Sebastian is worried about Violet’s
safety. He has an idea about what is
going on but doesn’t want to unnecessarily worry Violet. Sebastian has a plan to end the sexual harassment
case against him. He will have to leave
the firm but maybe that will stop what is going on with Violet as well. I like this series. I wish the books were released closer
together but don’t we all. I like
Sebastian. He changes throughout the
books and finds himself caring for someone besides himself for once. It is a different feeling for him, as well as
not getting what he wants. Violet is
sweet and can’t seem to let go of Sebastian.
She wants to help him even when he doesn’t want his help. I would like to read more about them now that
have gotten together. I wonder if there
will be another vol.? I would love to
read about how he treats Violet now that he has told her how he feels and what
he does now that he has left the firm.
What will Violet choose to do?

Arts at Thomas Edison State College after her BA in English Literature and AFA
