My Review
This is the first book I have read by Jennifer Ryder and
loved it. She pulls you in right
away. I look forward to reading the rest
of the books in this series. Detective
Ryan Clarke is undercover with the drug task force. He is working as a boat repair guy. He knows the rest and thinks it’s worth it. That is until he meets a cute little blonde
the first day of new undercover job.
There is something about her that draws him to her and he can’t stay
away. Willow has her own secrets. She finds herself attracted to Ryan as well
but how can it really work when she can’t tell him everything she wants to
about herself. Besides why would he want
her anyway? He could have anyone he
wants. Ryan finds himself doing things
he never would have in the past for Willow.
He is willing to do whatever it takes to get her to give him a
chance. But, again he is keeping
secrets. Will Ryan and Willow find a way
to make it work? Is Ryan willing to stop
working undercover so he can tell her about him and not have to be away in the
future? Will Willow trust Ryan enough to
tell him about her past and why she is keeping the secrets she is? There were twists and turns in this book that
I loved. They were both keeping secrets
from each other but they had to for certain reason; Ryan for his job and Willow
for her safety. Neither was looking for
love but they found it in each other.
They realized how lonely they were before they found each other and how
much they didn’t want to go back to that.
Ryan was great. For being such a
tuff guy he was very romantic. He had a
way of knowing just what Willow needed.
I have already added the other books in this series to my TBR list which
is ever growing. I look forward to
reading to more books by Jennifer Ryder.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.
