My Review

This book was great.  You read about the characters facing their worst demons and learning that if a person really cares about you they won’t see you differently because of them, in fact they will help you with them.  Calder Fox grew up in the Hollywood spot light because of who his parents where.  He acted at a young age.  He was getting drunk and high in his teens and because of it just about lost his career.  His friend wound up getting hurt in the process because of his actions.  Now his is cleaned up and ready to work again, this time taking it seriously.  This is his last shot if he messes it up nobody will hire him on to act again.  Francesca Leon has a secret she keeps from the world.  It’s not even her secrets to tell but she loves the persons whose secret it is more than anything.  She is known for acting in indie films this is her shot at the big times.  She is all set then learns that the actor who was supposed to star opposite her has been replaced by Calder Fox.  She has worked with him the past before he got cleaned up.  They were just kids then.  But she remembers how he was and assumes he will be the same way this time.  She quickly learns that Calder has changed and finds herself attracted to him.  I enjoyed this book.  Reading how they both overcome things that have held them back in the past was great.  Calder in particular had to come to terms with what happened in his past.  He was afraid that he was tainting Francesca with his past and he really didn’t want to do that.  Francesca helped him be showing him that she was going to be there for him even if he didn’t want her too.  Sometimes all we need is for someone else to believe in us for us to really start to change.  I got sucked into the book and had a hard time putting it down.  They went through their ups and downs in their relationship but came better on the other side.  I hope to read more to read more books in this series.  Fear not if you haven’t read books one and two in the series you can read them as standalone books.  I have read book 1 but not 2 and then read this one.  Elisabeth is now on my list of favorite authors.
