My Review of The Hysterics by Kristen Hope Mazzola

The HystericsThe Hysterics by Kristen Hope Mazzola
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love Kristen Hope Mazzola and everything she writes, this book is no different. Fae Dunham used to Fallon Dunbar; she was a drummer for a punk rock band. Then she woke up in hospital from on overdose and realized she needed to start over or she was going to die. She when she got the chance that is exactly what she did. She had a huge secret now and she needed to keep that secret in order to really take advantage of this second chance. She needed to figure out who is wanted to be and how to go about being that person. She needed to be alone or at least that is what until she meets Dane. Dane was completely taken by Fae the first time he saw her and he wanted to get to know her. Fae never realized that she was so lonely until she meets Dane. Maybe he is just what she needed to really start over. Someone to make her feel like herself and be this new version of herself. Dane loves her for who she really is inside not for her name and what being connected to her will get him. She has never felt like this before and neither has he. Dane has things from his own past that he is still dealing with. Maybe together they can truly heal and move forward. This book was fantastic. Fallon is so hard on herself and feels like she doesn’t deserve Dane and his love. No one has ever really been there for her. Her life growing up wasn’t great and she still doesn’t really have a relationship with her mother. Dane shows her what life can really be like with love and friends. Without even realizing it Fallon is helping Dane as well. I would love to read more about the other guys in the band and find out their stories. I always look forward for the next book by Kristen and will continue to do so.
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
