My Review of Bayou Shifter Coalition - Jaxon by Michelle Lowhorn

Bayou Shifter Coalition--JaxonBayou Shifter Coalition--Jaxon by Michelle Lowhorn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is Michelle’s first shifter book and it was great. I hope she writes more of this genre. In this book Reese moves to Louisiana to start over after receiving a job offer at a job fair so attended. She manages to save up enough money for a tiny run down one bedroom apartment in a not so great part of town. Her first day at work is not what she expected it to be. The women seem to not like her on sight. Then she is told she will be doing a different job than she was hired for. The men are acting strangely as well. She also works at a bar in the evening. After working at the bar for almost a week she meets Jaxon and learns that he is the owner. Jaxon couldn’t believe his luck when the first night he is back and is out with friends when he scents his mate. He follows the scent and discovers Reese and she is human. He knows it will be more difficult since she is human and not lycan. He must woo her and then explain his world to her. This makes no difference to him though, she is his mate and he will do everything and anything for her. There is just something about Jaxon that calls to Reese. Will things work out for them? Reese is quickly thrown into a world she knows next to nothing about. Will she be able to overcome her past and trust Jaxon? This book was a great quick read; just over 100 pages. I love all of Michelle’s books and this one was no different. Reese accepts what Jaxon tells her about his world. She has a gut feeling that what he says is true and he will always be true to his word and that she is safe with him. The characters in this book are great and I would love to read more about them in the future. The book is wonderfully written, the story flows really well. Another great job Michelle.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.
